In April 2024, the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued a final rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), requiring state and local government entities to make websites, mobile apps, and digital content accessible. These entities must comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by April 2026.
